On October 10, 2012, a kind reader sent us the following allegations: “[Beacon Lending] added money to my account with no phone call or email to tell me. And they took out money just recently. I didn’t know I had a loan through them.”

On October 28, 2012, another reader sent us the following allegations against Beacon Financial: “I have been paying $89 every two weeks since Oct 2010. I believe I only borrowed $250 at most from them. This means I’ve paid them $4272 to borrow $250.”

On July 16, 2013, we received the following allegations against Beacon Lending: “They tell you to call before 12 p.m or after 1 p.m. but never answers the lines. I have tried to call for more than 3 hours on the hour and cannot get a live person to answer any question regarding the account. I will put a stop payment if I can contact a live person.”

On August 9, 2013, we received these allegations: “I spoke with a young lady just now about my account and what I did was press the button saying that I wanted to pay the loan off in full and immediately got in contact with her. I told her that I never received any information from the company besides the money being put into my account and never received an email pertaining to how to pay it out in full. She gave me their contact number and it is in fact 1-877-746-4993. After giving me some information pertaining to my account, I knew that it was the right contact number. I hope that this helps.”

On Sept. 1, 2013, we received these allegations against Beacon Lending: “I supposedly got a loan from them. I am thinking in April of 2012. And today 8-31-13 they have texted my phone from +1 (302) 525-0307, 7 times in a matter of 10 minutes about my loan defaulting? Gave a phone number of 8667464993 to contact them or they are gonna contact my reference or place of employment?” On the same day, another kind reader sent us these allegations against Beacon Financial: “Four emails from long ago appeared on my computer. I owe them nothing. I paid this $200 off plus a lot more. I am a 67 year old unemployed cancer patient. I am now filing a complaint with the FTC in Washington.”
