On May 1, 2013, we received the following allegations against CP Inverters (which we assume is a misspelling of CP Investors): “They sent me a loan even though I never completed the process. I never signed anything to receive the loan. When contacted about it, they just said they would debit it tomorrow.”

Request received on May 28, 2013: “Is there a direct web address? Where one could check any balance owed, attain account info in regards to any open loan with this company, etc.” Editor’s Note: Any info we receive about this entity will be posted here. They seem to be related to CWB Services AKA Vandelier Group.

On July 6, 2013, we received allegations against CP Investors: “I partially filled out a loan but I never signed it. I called and spoke to a rep and told him to cancel the application and he said OK I will do it right now. Now they are trying to get money out of my account and causing overdrafts. I think this is devious and I will get [legal] representation if it continues.”

On July 24, 2013, we received more allegations against this entity: “By far the rudest people ever. CP Investors and CWB Services are nothing but a joke and a scam. Horrible experience. They take more money than authorized and royally screw you. Watch out for these scammers!”

On July 26, 2013, we received the following allegations against CP Investors: “I received a deposit in my account today and I have not seen or signed loan documents from this company. Could you please send me an email or phone number so I can get ahead of this before it gets out of control?”

Editor’s Note: CP Investors is an unknown and unrelated entity. Please read our FAQ and About pages to learn more about who we are and what we do. Any and all phone numbers we have for CP Investors are published here. Thank you.

On July 27, 2013, we received the following allegations against CP Investors LLC / CWB Services LLC: “CWB Services LLC. Phone: 1-855-502-2941. Fax: 1-800-686-2619. I started receiving emails from this company saying that I could pay the loan in full or pay the interest. I wrote them back and told the guy that I never heard of their company and that I never requested a loan from them. I have no idea how they got my information, but I discovered that they had sent a deposit into an old banking account that I thought was closed almost a year ago; there hadn’t been any activity on that account until June when they sent money. I called the number they had on the e-mail and was told that they were sorry and that the money would be withdrawn that day. I called a few hours later and spoke with another individual and learned that the first person didn’t send a withdrawal request to the bank, so he said that he would make sure it was done while I was on the phone with him. Two weeks pass and I get a ‘restricted’ phone call and was told that I had to pay the money right then, plus interest or I would be turned in for check fraud. I told them again that I never asked them for a loan and that I wasn’t paying. They said that I was going to be served papers if I didn’t agree to pay them before noon that day. One person hung the phone up on me and I called again, the guy continued to threaten me, saying that they are giving me a chance to pay or go to court and pay court cost or risk jail for fraud. I still refused and told them that I would take my chances before the courts because I never requested any money from a payday loan since 2010, CashNet USA, which was paid in full. CashNet USA’s records were compromised and people with foreign accents were calling me and threatening me. I contacted the company and they explained that they’ve been trying to catch these people and they assured me that there was no way that my social security number was compromised because their records only listed the last four numbers. I’ve learned that is a lie because I received a threatening e-mail from someone who had broken English that listed my full social security number, stating that I needed to pay them $980 or be sent to collections and court, if I refused to pay. I am so frustrated with these payday loans and scam artists, constantly leaving messages on my phone and email address saying they have my loan approved. I call back and can’t get a call through because of an auto message that states, “the number you have dialed is not a working number.” I called back as soon as they hung up and get those sort of messages. I don’t know what will happen with CP Investors but I don’t owe them money. I just want to be left alone and don’t want them calling me anyone. They had no right to put money in an account that wasn’t requested from me.”

On August 25, 2013, we received these allegations against CP Investors LLC: “On July 31, 2013 the aforementioned company deposited $300.00 into my checking account. I never applied for a loan through this company, or any similar kind of online loan like this. I received an email stating that the loan would auto renew if written notice was not given 3 days prior to the due date. As I do not frequently check my email account, I had no idea of the happenings until after the due date.”

On August 28, 2013, we received these allegations against CP Investors: “I applied for a payday loan and received it. A couple of weeks later I started getting calls and attempts to collect money out of my account. I never applied for a loan from CP Investors. I don’t know who these people are. They have jacked my account with attempts to take money out of my account. I have paid a large sum of overdraft fees. I tried to contact them and received threats from a company called Landmark Legal. I called them and was told they are a law firm and are no way connected to this collection agency. They are calling my family and friends discussing a loan I know nothing about.”
