According to the Arkansas Attorney General website: “Attorney General Dustin McDaniel filed a consumer protection lawsuit today against a Missouri man and two companies that control six Internet payday loan websites… The lawsuit states that Mitchem, PDL Support and Platinum B Services control the websites, phone numbers, fax numbers and bank accounts used to make and collect upon the loans. While the lending entities were said to be located in Nevis, all lending operations were based in the Kansas City area.”

One of our kind readers sent us the following allegations against Action Payday Loans: “I have been harassed by these people saying I committed a crime, they are calling my job, family and kids saying I owe them money and I killed 3 people. They are saying they are police, officers of the court, and continually calling people over 14 times within a 5 min range. They are a scam artists and are so far out of control.”
On September 9, 2012, an Online-Payday-Loans.org reader kindly sent us the following useful info: “The majority of their employees are now working out of a call center located in Rohmesser, San Jose, Costa Rica. The company that is providing services to PDL Support is Clearview Business Solutions, the C.R. phone number to their offices is (506) 2291-2768.” Thank you so much!
On October 31, 2011, a reader sent us the following allegations against Action PDL: “Looking to contact them because they put money into an account without permission. It was not asked for. They need to be reported and stopped from doing this illegal action.”
On January 21, 2013, we received the following allegations about Action Payday: “Hello, I just need anyone to answer me if ActionPayday.com is a licensed lender… I spoke to the place over the phone and accepted the loan online. I was informed that it would be $150.00 finance charge and I would make payments over time to pay off the loan of $500.00. They did immediately deposit $475.00 in my account because they had another charge of $25.00 to deposit it in my account. Since then I have paid $450.00 in 6 weeks and none of this has went to my loan. I still have to pay $650.00 based on my account with them. Also I asked them for a signed contract and they do not offer one on the site, my account with them just shows that I owe $650.00, and they have not emailed or snail mailed me a copy of my contract. I just want to know any advice on what I should do. I am worried all my information, my social and my account is unsafe, my credit, everything. I would like any advice you can give me, even if you can just tell me if this company is licensed because I cannot validate it anywhere.” Editor’s Note: We’re sorry to hear about your troubles. Unfortunately, we cannot offer advice for specific fact situations. Please consult an attorney. Without knowing your state of residence, we cannot check to see if they are licensed or not. Please check directly with your state regulatory agency. On Feb. 28, 2013, we receive the following allegations: “I have fallen prey to Action Payday Loan Company and the VIP Loan Shop. I have been talking with someone about finding out if there is a class action lawsuit against either one of these companies, how I would get my name on it and if I still have to pay these people back since they are not licensed in Indiana. I have tried to fumble around the Attorney General’s website to find some of this information out but I can’t seem to find a place that has the answers I am looking for. Can someone direct me in the right place? Do I call my bank and tell them to not allow these two companies to take my payment out when they try to withdraw it? Please help if you can, I would appreciate it. I have really learned my lesson from this.” Editor’s Note: We’re sorry to hear about your difficulties. Unfortunately, we cannot offer advice for specific fact situations. Please consult an attorney. If we hear of a class action lawsuit against this entity, we’ll post the details here. Thank you for your kind understanding and patience.
On June 18, 2013, we received the following allegations against Bottom Dollar Payday Loan: “I was offered a loan and initially said no. Then had a lengthy conversation about the loan. So, after the conversation I went online and took the loan. My conversation stated that I would take the $75 fee and would payback. The guy was really nice. I was a bit apprehensive at first because I used this company prior, too, and they charged me for some time. Until, I realized it. They took a bit of time to fix, but did. So, what happened the 2nd time? The same thing. They have the call that I initially said no, too. The have the call when an agent read a script, and I say yes, yes, okay too. But, could not trace the call I had a really lengthy call with the male agent who convinced me it would not happen again. Well, it did. It is my fault that I did not catch it in my account, as it is not my primary account. But, my intentions and conversations we not kept. I have paid just about a $1000.00 in fees, and that is not what I agreed to. The manager that stated her name is Kia is trying to walk circles around me. The agents Richard and Angie U. were not helpful. They are doing anything to keep me paying. Not a chance.”
On August 5, 2013, we received more allegations against VIP Loan Shop: “Rip off! You will end up paying triple. They will continuously drain your bank account. Be careful. Scam.”
