On August 1, 2013, we received the following allegations against Total Recovery Solutions: “Steven Jones is posing as a collector, court appointed individual with subpoena powers and has made threatening calls to my cell phone and place of work. I have requested numerous times for him not to call me, if he has something, send it in writing. He threatens to have the sheriff’s department pick me up, etc. He is representing Seaside Dollar payday loans. The numbers he calls from are: 321-226-0018 and 855-868-2577. This individual and company is harming me at my place of employment, talking to my co-workers, threatening legal action, etc. The phone calls are harassing and continuous.” Editor’s Note: Generally speaking, if someone phones you and claims to be collecting a debt that you have no knowledge of, it may be a telephone debt collection scam. In many cases, they claim to be collecting on behalf of unrelated payday loan companies without their knowledge or authorization. Seaside Dollar (another unknown entity) may or may not be related.
