On June 23, 2013, we received the following allegations about CWB Services AKA Total Lending: “On June 20, 2013 I applied for a loan with an online lending service who apparently releases information to several lending services. In the course of 3 hours I received over 50 phone calls and 90 emails inquiring if I was still interested in receiving a loan. After speaking with 14 companies I refused all of their offers because of the terms, i.e.; payback amounts and other unrealistic terms. When I got up the next morning I checked my bank account and found out that there was $300.00 deposited into my account by Total Lending. I never spoke to Total Lending and never approved the loan with them. I called the phone number that was listed with the information when the deposit was made to my bank account, the number is 888-989-5523. I received a message that listed CWB Services as the location that was called. I did an online search for CWB Services and found out that this company uses many aliases such as Total Lending. When I searched Total Lending I found out that there are many complaints that they have done unauthorized deposits into other peoples bank accounts, like they did to me. When I filled out the requested information with the original loan company, they ask for your bank information and account number. Apparently they release all your information to other lenders who then contact you to offer you a loan. Never, never, never release your bank information. Total Lending AKA CWB Services is a scam, do not deal with them and never, never, never release any bank information or you will become a scam victim.”

On August 8, 2013, we received more allegations against Total Lending / CWB Services: “Entity Details: Total Lending – Mario (Customer Rep), Ashlee (Customer Rep) – 888-989-5523. Complaint: I took out a $200 loan with this shady company. The repeatedly “renewed” my loan without me approving. In turn I didn’t receive more funds yet they took $60 a pay period from me. I paid back $180 for a $200 loan. Now I have to deal with unprofessional customer service reps. They are taking me through the ringer just to get money refunded back to me. The rep Mario argued with me, talked over me and at me, and denied my right to speak with a supervisor after I requested one several times. This company is a fraud and are robbing people blind. I’m sure the way they do business is illegal!”
On August 13, 2013, we received these allegations against Total Lending: “I was sent an e-mail telling me I have an approved loan with them and I have not talked with anyone. However, they have on this agreement that having my SS# is a signature of agreement. I have sent an e-mail to take my name off of their listing. I am really quite worried. I don’t know what to expect now.”
On Sept. 5, 2013, we received these allegations: “I have a load with this company for $300.00. I have been paying $91.00 every 2 weeks on it since June, 2013. I have no paperwork on it, no loan number, have had no way of contacting them, and have no idea when this loan will be paid off or how to get them to stop taking money out of my account without getting in trouble. I feel this company is very unprofessional and is likely a scam.”
On Sept. 11, 2013, we received these allegations against Total Lending: “The phone number 888-989-5523 showed up on my bank statement. I never filled out paperwork with this lending company yet they deposited $200 into my checking account and they deduct a fee out biweekly. I have tried to call the above number but I never get an answer.”
