On December 18, 2012, a reader who obviously has us confused with some unknown entity sent us the following allegations about Tower: “I got a loan from one of the affiliates you manage [some unknown entity] I guess. Well, the loan was for $200 dollars and pay back was suppose to only be $260 dollars and they or you guys [some unknown entity] have taken $360 without consent.”

On June 15, 2013, we received the following allegations against Tower Lending: “This company illegally deposited money in my account. I am reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and the Bunco Squad. They are crooks!” Editor’s Note: The term Bunco Squad refers to the police division that investigates fraud / confidence swindles.

On Sept. 1, 2013, we received these allegations against Tower Loan: “I signed up for a few payday loans. I had the money deposited and am making payments to them. I have no conflict with them. I signed up for them legitimately and, with my knowledge, they deposited money and also withdrew payments. While checking my account online, I see a $90 fee taken from my checking account for Tower Loans. I do not, nor have I ever had a loan with them. I searched back two months and see no deposits from them, no transactions whatsoever, until this payment being removed from my account. When I tried to contact them via email, it was returned as undeliverable. I want my $90 back! If I have to close this checking account and only give the new account to the legitimate loans, I will, but that is a headache. Please help me.” Editor’s Note: Thank you for your detailed account. Whois gives a registration address of Tower Loan of Mississippi, Inc., 406 Liberty Park Ct., Flowood, MS 39232.
