FiSCWA members follow industry Best Practices including licensing, compliance with state and federal laws, protection of consumer privacy, disclosure of fees and appropriate collection practices.
With regards to payday loans, FiSCWA members will not:
- use loan proceeds from a subsequent loan to repay a current loan
- threaten or pursue criminal actions against a customer as a result of a default on a loan payment
- garnish military wages
FiSCWA members will also refrain from contacting a military borrower’s chain of command.
