We updated our Payday Loan Site Traffic Comparison page to reflect the latest data just released by Compete.
PayDayOne.com was the top site in terms of raw traffic and incoming links. They had an estimated 327,229 unique visitors and 559,910 visits during the month of April, 2011. The total number of incoming links reported by Compete was 648.
In terms of visits per person, CashCentral.com was on top with 2.1 visits/person. PayDayOne.com was the runner-up with 1.7 visits/person.

IP Ban for Ratings Abuse
Visitor-submitted lender ratings are important to us. They help borrowers make intelligent loan purchase decisions, help us remove bad lenders from our comparison pages and add substantial value to our site.
That’s why we monitor for ratings abuse and have a zero tolerance policy.
Yesterday, we discovered ratings abuse on two of our posts. One lender’s rating suddenly skyrocketed and another got an undeserved thrashing.
We removed the votes from our database. We also had to ban a user’s IP address. Here’s what happened and how we dealt with the abuse.

Price Increase at SonicCash.com
A kind reader has just notified us of a substantial price increase at SonicCash.com (link goes to our review page not the actual lender site).
We were notified today via our Contact page that their price increased from $25 per $100 borrowed to $35 per $100 borrowed.
This makes SonicCash the most expensive lender on our Compare Lenders page.

This week we added a Most Popular Lenders page.
Popularity is measured by number of unique click events. When a unique visitor to our site clicks on a lender, it counts as one click event. Subsequent clicks from the same visitor are not counted. We felt that the number of people who click on the link is more important than the number of times a link is clicked.
