“The cleaner your credit, the lower the interest rate… Your credit score will not determine whether you get a loan, just the rate.”

MariSol Federal Credit Union CEO Robin Romano plans to offer a low-cost payday loan alternative in Mesa, Arizona…

Under the new program, borrowers can get loans with interest rates ranging from 9.25% to 18% depending on their credit. The MariSol branch is opening next month in the MesaCAN building at 635 East Broadway Road in Mesa, Arizona.

According to Romano, the credit union will consider a borrower’s entire financial situation, not just their credit rating:

“We’ll look at the whole package: Do you have a job? How much do you earn? How much do you owe?”

Robin Romano is the chief executive officer of MariSol Federal Credit Union.
