Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3)
If you feel you’ve been defrauded by an illegal online payday loan site or are being harassed by a payday loan telephone collection scam, you can file a complaint at the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3).
The IC3 was established as a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C) to receive Internet-related criminal complaints and refer them to the appropriate federal, state, local, or international law enforcement and/or regulatory agencies for investigation.
If you feel you are in danger or believe your matter is time sensitive, please contact your local law enforcement directly. The IC3 reviews and forwards complaints to enforcement or regulatory agencies with jurisdiction but investigation and prosecution are at the discretion of the receiving agencies so there may be a substantial delay.
