Neil Walsh
“People end up simply servicing their debt while never being able to retire the principal… This is not financial assistance – this is financial disaster.”
AARP lobbyist Neil Walsh speaks out against payday lenders in an article entitled Legislative Panel Hears Payday Loan Debate published today in the Daily Press…
In another article published by The Virginian-Pilot five months ago, Walsh was also quoted as saying:
“For those who say [payday lenders] are responding to demand, that is also a justification for allowing open cocaine, pornography and other satisfaction of market demands.”
Neil Walsh is a spokesman for the Association for the Advancement of Retired Persons (AARP) of Virginia.
